The October/November issue of Vibe magazine has Grammy-winning sensation Usher on its cover. So self-assured is the singer, he tells the music magazine that when it comes to his career and supporting younger acts, “There is no competition.”
Usher continues, “I think that the artists that are doing great, they definitely need to have the support of the people that have [paved the road]… Because this is a dying industry. The next tour represents a standard that has to be set for entertainment.”
Of course, welcoming newbie acts like Justin Bieber into the fold is probably a whole lot easier when you’re getting a piece of the pie; Usher famously helped develop music’s new “It” boy and even helped Bieber ink a record deal.
