GQ Magazine Under Fire for ‘Glee’ Magazine Cover

GQ_Glee_201011.pngGQ magazine’s November issue features “Glee” co-stars Dianna Agron, 24, Corey Monteith, 28, and Lea Michele, 24, in a suggestive photo spread called “Glee Gone Wild!” Both Agron and Michele appear scantily dressed. Yesterday, the Parents Television Council released a statement of outrage over the cover charging the men’s magazine that its risque cover “borders on pedophila.”

Parents Television Council President said in the statement: “It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on ‘Glee’ in this way. It borders on pedophilia. Sadly, this is just the latest example of the overt sexualization of young girls in entertainment.”

GQ Editor-in-Chief Jim Nelson told “The Insider” that the magazine stands by its decision: “The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy… As often happens in Hollywood, these ‘kids’ are in their twenties. Cory Monteith is almost 30! I think they’re old enough to do what they want.”
