Of the role in which he plays opposite Twilight Saga star Kristen Stewart, Hedlund tells the men’s magazine, “… I play the character Dean Moriarty from the book. This has been a dream project. I have been cast for On the Road since 2007 and have been hoping for it to be made one day. Every day has been such an incredible experience.”
Hedlund counts working with director Walter Salles a life-changing
experience. He says, “Working with Walter Salles has just been
incredible. This shoot has been the closest thing to a gorilla-style
shoot. We have been moving constantly from one city to another, from
one country to another. It has been the experience of a lifetime.”
As
for the starting point of his journey to be an actor, Hedlund tells the
magazine, “I was raised on a farm in Minnesota. Television and movies
were our only escape. It was always a dream to be actor and live in the
city.”
Looks like all of Hedlund’s dreams are set to become a reality. Tron: Legacy releases December 17, and Country Strong opens January 11. Look for On the Road to hit theaters in 2011.
