‘Dancing with the Stars’ Introduces New Cast

Teen Moms Us Weekly.pngCue the spotlight and tack on the sequins because the new season of “Dancing with the Stars” is upon us. Us Weekly magazine is reporting ABC finally revealed the show’s new cast of celebrities during its show “Bachelor Pad” on Monday night.

First up for the ladies’ roster is singer Brandy who is no doubt trying to give folks something new to think about other than that unfortunate car accident a few years back. I for one would love to see it happen, Brandy! Giving the pop singer a run for the mirrorball trophy will be “Brady Bunch” matriarch Florence Henderson, comedienne Margaret Cho, and “The Hills” star Audrina Patridge (that last one’s sure to get male viewers’ hearts racing). Jennifer Grey no doubt has a cult following from Dirty Dancing–and a rather unfair advantage, I would think. But perhaps the biggest shocker on the dance floor will be seeing Sarah Palin’s offspring (and Levi Johnston’s baby mama), Bristol Palin, doing the rumba with two-time champ Mark Ballas.

Can we look forward to seeing the former Governor of
Alaska in the studio? Bristol says the former vice presidential
candidate (a.k.a. “Mom”) is her “No. 1 fan. Of course, she’ll be down
here [cheering me on].”
The younger Palin, 19,
tells Us Weekly, “I just wanted to do it because it’s so fun. It’s
positive and it’s a good competition. I wanted to step outside my
comfort zone and have a good time.”
Also
looking to have a good time, according to the celebrity magazine, are the male
celebrities joining the show including: singer Michael Bolton sans long
locks; NBA superstar Rick Fox; NFL quarterback Kurt Warner; rapper Kyle
Massey; “Knightrider” and German popstar David Hasselhoff. Last, but
certainly not the least tanned, will be the star of “Jersey Shore,” Mike
“the Situation” Sorrentino.
So far, everyone
seems to have a fun attitude toward the competition. Said Hasselhoff, “I
think it’s going to be harder than the Comedy Central roast … but I
am happy to be here. My two daughters loved this show and convinced me
to do it.”
We’ll see what kind of hoofin’ the Hoff can manage when “Dancing with the Stars” returns on September 20.
