Celebrity infidelity seems to be the story of the week for celebrity magazines. This week’s In Touch Weekly magazine continues the trend, reporting that soccer star David Beckham had an affair with a former “high-class call girl” named Irma Nici in 2007.
According to In Touch, Nici claims Beckham agreed to pay her $10,000 to spend one night together during their alleged affair.
A rep for Beckham has responded to the story this morning, telling Us Weekly that the allegations “are completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication.”
“Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it,” adds Beckham’s rep. “We are taking legal action against the magazine.”
