V magazine is reporting ‘the birth of a star’ in its latest issue. Rapper Nicki Minaj is featured in lovely, understated (well, for her) makeup and styling for the cover, so much so, a double-take might be necessary. So go on… We’ll wait. It’s really her.
The larger than life star had an incredible 2010, culminating in the Black Friday release of her debut album Pink Friday. The rap phenom debuted her latest single from the album, “Moment 4 Life,” on Monday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” And just this past weekend, Minaj filmed the video for “Fly” with Rihanna. Busy, busy girl!
Minaj is no stranger to the cover of magazine. In the last few months,
she’s been featured in a slew of magazines, including King magazine,
Complex magazine, and she’s even been deemed ‘The First Lady of Hip-Hop’ by Billboard magazine.
The future is looking bright in 2011 for this vampy star, as she looks to expand her empire to the hills of Hollywood.
